Eagleville Bible Church believes in the power of prayer to move God's heart to action!
God is sovereign and we know that He is ultimately the only One who can bring true transformation and help to people in their times of need. That is why we seek Him for exactly those reasons during the Sunday services, in the faith that by doing so God will honor our requests and move in the lives of all of those who find themselves attending our Worship Services (whether in person or online).
We believe the Bible when it says, "You have not because you ask not.." in James 4:2, and we want to follow its exhortation when we read, "praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.." in Ephesians 6:18. We also see that Paul's instructions to Timothy was, "First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,.." and "...that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling;". With these texts in mind then, we want to follow God's design for the Worship Services to be covered in prayer!
We want to encourage everyone to pray, regardless of your involvement in this ministry. Prayer should not be limited to Sunday mornings by anyone. Prayer is an ongoing conversation between God and His people. In 1 Thessalonians 5:17 we find this simple directive, "Pray constantly!", and we want to encourage everyone to follow its exhortation! The IP team is an extraordinary form of prayer and an invitation for you to collectively join together with a team of people passionate for seeing God move!
When you sign up for the IP team, you will be expected to serve when you are scheduled and then join the congregation for Corporate worship for the other Worship Service (i.e., if you are scheduled to Intercede during the 1st service, you would pray during the 1st service, then join in the Corporate worship during the 2nd service).
Thank you for your prayers, and may God bless you always!
