Marriage Minute Avoiding the “Coldrums”!

Any relationship can get icy, cold, and distant if there are hurts that have not been addressed. I assure you that this is not what God wants for your marriage! We’re supposed to be companions, friends, confidants, teammates, lovers. If you notice that your spouse is avoiding you, spending a lot of time elsewhere, doing their own thing all the time, uncommunicative, unaffectionate, or stone cold silent, there may be a reason. Perhaps there’s a hurt or bitterness or a constant thorn in your relationship that has never been pulled out. Never assume that distance is normal. Jesus said to settle matters quickly before it gets worse. The quicker you can stop these drifts, the less effort it takes to get back to the harbor of togetherness. Let’s work at functioning as a happily married couple living out some wedded bliss! Having our own way and winning arguments is not the end game – loving each other is! Have a great weekend all ~~ Bill
