Worship Minute: Knowledge OF God

Worship Minute: In his book, Knowing God, J. I. Packer says that “One can know a great deal about godliness without much knowledge of God.” In 2 Peter 1:2 we are encouraged to grow in the rich knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. There is a big difference between knowing about God (facts based) and knowing of God (experience based)!
How have you known God in your life? What are some characteristics that you know to be true of God based on your experiences, or testimonies? Do those line up with what the Scriptures say to be characteristically true of God?
Instead of giving me the “right” answers, or listing off a bunch of “truisms” about God (which can be very beneficial to know), I want you to be able to recognize where He is/was actively manifesting Himself in your present reality. Rehearse these testimonies and share them often! In doing so, you will help others in their growth of the rich knowledge of God. ~ Mark
