Marriage Minute: Keep Adding Love
I fill the bird feeder because the birds need to eat and they constantly empty it! Imagine that’s like our love! We burn through it and that’s why it constantly needs to be replenished! So add to it all the time in all the kind things that you do! Say, “I love you”, compliment, help out, take out, spend time with, and show love every chance you get! You all have a great and safe weekend!
Marriage Minute: Love in Our Hearts
Hope you’ll all have a fantastic weekend. I was thinking about marriage from a heart perspective. Loving my spouse from my heart is vital. That includes being caring and unselfish and interested and the whole nine yards! What’s going on in our hearts in regards to marriage? Sometimes there may be work to do there to improve our attitudes. It’s something to think about. Hope you’re all staying healthy and and may God bless your love!
Marriage Minute: I Will
I’m officiating a wedding this weekend and we always say….”I Will”. You will be loving and loyal. But I thought to myself, aside from those givens, how would I fill in the blank after “I will………”? I will what?! Let’s challenge ourselves to fill in the blank! We can do something to show affection and affirmation and action. So I will do what to show affection this weekend? I will do what to show action (service) and affirmation. You might say, “I will compliment my wife repeatedly”! “I will show my husband affection by…….” I will power wash the deck or will get those plants my spouse wants! I will take her out on a date. How will you fill in the blank? I WILL! Have a great Memorial Day Weekend!
Changing for Forgiveness
Bill McMinn discusses the importance of repentance in the pursuit of forgiveness. We all need reminded of the need to change on a continual basis, and in this Sermon we will find the practical applications on how to do that. Here are a few of the talking points:
– Change your life through repentance
– Forgiveness
– True change comes through Christ
We hope and pray that you are brought closer to Jesus a you engage with this Sermon!
God bless you!
Balanced Marriage
Bill McMinn helps us all understand the need to balance priorities as he challenges us to build a strong foundation in our marriage. He is looking at Matthew chapter 19 and discussing the importance of making your spouse your priority, being committed, being united, and being appreciative of the spouse Gods has given you. We hope and pray that you will enjoy this sermon! God bless you!
Allowed to Ascend?
The good news is that God has provided the One who is able to clean us up! His name is Jesus Christ, and anyone who calls upon Him is saved and able to access the throne of God! This doesn’t mean that we can still continue in unholiness and expect to receive blessing, but it does mean that we are able to be clean before God when we come to Christ and seek His forgiveness. Once we have the blood of Christ over us, cleansing our filth, then we can rest assured that we are able to ascend the hill of the Lord, not by anything that we do but through the baptism into Christ for the forgiveness of sins! He makes us clean! He changes our motives! Jesus presents us as holy and blameless before the Father (Ephesians 5:25-27)! If we are holy and blameless principally, then let’s live it out practically as worshipers! All for His glory!
