Devotional thought
Are we the generation that is rising up to seek the Lord afresh for revival? I agree with the lyric in this song that states that there is a near revival stirring in our hearts as we pray and seek our King! It is going to take a relentless pursuit of God through prayer, righteousness, and the repentance of God’s people!
When we acknowledge that Jesus is the agent by which we cry out “Hosanna in the highest”, then it forces us to respond in faith – believing that He truly can “save us now”! That is what hosanna means, “Save us now, please”.
We need to be the generation that sees the need for God’s saving intervention and to respond by calling out the the only One able to save us from utter destruction! The problem is real, and the solution is ever-present, but it does require someone to stand in the gap and cry out in prayer/intercession. I will be one of those people, how about you?
Do you seek a fresh work of God in your life? Are you constantly seeking God to change your heart and make it clean? How about for Him to open up your eyes to the things unseen? To show you how to love like He loves us?
If you are willing to say that you are seeking revival and are part of the generation that will seek the Lord, then these are very important factors to consider! Revival isn’t an event, it is a lifestyle. So, if we want revival then it will begin with each of us committing to a lifestyle of godliness and righteousness, seeking God in prayer, and repenting of all sin and sinfulness ways in our lives.
Are you going to be part of the generation that seeks the face of God for revival?
Prayer
Oh Lord, I praise You for hope! For the hope of revival. I thank You that there is a whole army of prayer warriors ready to intercede on behalf of a world that has walked away from You. Oh God, Hosanna in the highest, revive us please! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
