Do you ever doubt the saving power of God? No really, does the delivering strength of God seem to be just a bit out of reach in your particular situation? Well, I love the song of the day because of how it reassures us that our God truly is mighty to save!
So often we see salvation as a one time experience, and so it is, but how many of us can attest to the reality that we need a Savior each and every day! Whether it is salvation from spiritual attacks, sinful patterns, or to restore us to hopeful and joyful living in this dark world! Well, Jesus Christ is exactly the Savior we need to provide that for us.
Our memory verse today tells us that we shall call upon the Lord. Consequently, calling upon the Lord requires humility. And, salvation truly belongs to the humble in heart. To those that are humble enough to realize their need for a Savior, and then to call upon Him from that place of desperation.
Don’t let the enemy convince you that you are beyond God’s delivering strength. God’s arm is definitely not too short to save! And, you definitely are not beyond His gracious and loving care. Trust Him today to be your mighty Savior, and call upon Him! He will answer and show Himself faithful in your situation!
Prayer
Father God, I praise You for being the Mighty Savior I can count on to deliver me in all situations! I know I can count on You and I praise You for being such a faithful God! I ask that You help me to remain humble enough to call upon You whenever I am tempted to doubt Your ability to deliver. I need You Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
