Jesus said that it’s the truth that sets you free, yet there are times when we hold tightly to lies. We have an arugment with our spouse and next thing you know it’s going to “I don’t measure up, I’m a terrible spouse, I’m not good enough, I’m not lovable”. None of it is true but we tell our selves this! Could it be that these thoughts don’t come from an argument you just had? Perhaps these lies are engrained deep within from old wounds? What’s the fix? Let’s go back to the truth of God’s love and how He made us for a purpose and how we’re all gifted and given an important role to play in this world. You are valuable! I’d rather build on the truth because we can’t build a solid relationship off ridiculous lies. We need to flush out the bad thoughts with the truth of God because the truth is, you all have great worth in HIs sight. We’ve been in a Bible study called “Fight Your Way to a Better Marriage” by Greg Smalley and he talks indepth about the lies we believe. It’s interesting and helpful so you might want to check it out! Have a great weekend!!
