Session 51: The Right to Life

We are all endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights!  And the right to life is certainly one of those.  In this podcast Mark Hostetler and Bill McMinn talk about the great value of life and how life starts at conception.  God was alread…

What is the Fruit that You are Displaying?

We must be careful not to forget that it is God who is at work within us to produce these fruits, not a vain effort of will from us. This is a hard concept to grasp, but I believe that many of us get caught up in defeat too many times because we do not understand this concept. This is a concept/principle that I believe is so critical in our walk of faith – Allow God to transform us without us trying to reform us! See, God wants to make us new creations, He isn’t trying to take the old us and form us into a new us. His work is a completely new life in Him. We get caught up in trying to take the old us and forcing it, or molding it, into this new life we are trying to live in Christ. This doesn’t work, and it causes all sorts of frustration. The Scripture above says that we were these things, but now we are made new! Why would a butterfly ever crawl on the ground like a caterpillar again? Why would we ever want to go back to our old ways? We are new in Him.

Worship Minute: God’s Perspective

Worship Minute: Been thinking about God’s perspective as it relates to our worship, and today my friend Keith was helping me to maintenance our Sanctuary projectors and I asked him what he thought of that concept. I appreciate Keith as he develops his thoughts about service as a form of worship in this video!
Matt 15:8-9(a) says, “‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me, and they worship me in vain,…’ ” God is interested in the heart of our worship, and I truly believe that our heart is the only thing that He is paying attention to when He is receiving our worship. May God see hearts that are truly and fully surrendered to Him anytime we gather together for worship! God bless you and I hope to see you this weekend! ~ Mark

Dealing with Jealousy

Jealousy is a bitter sin that leaves us feeling contempt towards others around us and empty inside. If you are struggling with feelings of jealousy, you will indeed be benefited by the conversation between Pastors Eric Barfell and Bill McMinn in this episode as they unpack this issue and how to overcome it in our lives.
God bless you!

Session 50: Jealousy

Jealousy is a common issue these days.  There’s always been the keep up with the Jones’ but with social media it’s amplified.  We talk about being happy with what you have and happy for others as well.  It’s a much more peaceful course of action.  Bi…

Characteristics of Christianity

Pastor Bill McMinn explains Romans 15:7-13 to us in this Sermon and how it applies to our lives. Here are a few of the main points about the characteristics of Christianity:
– Warmth
– Mercy
– Rejoicing in Hope
– Joy and Peace
God bless you as you engage with this Sermon!

A Place of Peace

I hope that through this post you will more readily have the tools you need in order to find the peace you are looking for in your life! It starts with a relationship with Christ Jesus, because that makes us righteous, and righteousness creates peace. I find it very interesting to note that Isaiah 57:2 also states that the one who is upright and righteous also finds rest! Peace creates a restful spirit that is fully trusting in the Lord to care for all of our needs! There is nothing quite like having that restful peace as a result of having a right relationship with God and the people around us!
