Way to be Saved
Two Questions:
1) If you died today, would you go to Heaven or Hell?
2) If you were to stand before God and he were to ask you, “Why should I let you into heaven, what would you say?”
Pastors Bill and Eric discuss Ephesians 2:8-9 – For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this is not from yourselves, it is a gift of God–not by works, so that no can boast. We cannot earn our way – we trust God for it.

Spiritual Life – John 6:63
READ: John 6:63
CHALLENGE: Rely on Jesus for the Life You Most Want
John 6:63- The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spiritand life.
A. JESUS BRINGS LIFE
1. Life is More Than This Physical World
VV14-15 – After the people saw the sign Jesus performed, they began to say, “Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.” 15 Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself. John chapter six testifies about Jesus feeding five thousand with 5 loaves and two fish.
Vv26-29 – Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. 27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”.”
2. Life is Christ’s Power to Sustain
Vv30-35 – So they asked him, “What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? 31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”32 Jesus said to them, . Now they want a sign and they bring up manna.
Philippians 4:13 – I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
3. Life is Eternal
John 6:40 – For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
.John 6:48-51 – I am the bread of life. 49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died..”
B. POWER COMES FROM THE SPIRIT
v.63 – The Spirit gives life;
Ephesians 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
C. LIFE IS NOT FOUND IN OUR EFFORTS
Ephesians 2:8-9 – For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
D. LIFE IS FOUND IN THE WORD
V63b – The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.

Being Proactive Not Reactive
Pastor Bill and Bethany discuss being proactive and not reactive with your feelings/emotions. Don’t be owned by your feelings/emotions. Jesus was hurting on the cross but he did what was right. 1 Peter 2:23 – When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.
