Faith in the Fire: Trusting God in Life’s Struggles

Life can feel like a furnace at times—full of trials, unanswered questions, and moments when it seems like the wicked prosper while the faithful struggle. This week, we’ll dive into Job 21 and explore how to keep our faith strong in the face of injustice, suffering, and uncertainty. Job wrestled with these hard truths, but through it all, he held on to his faith in God’s justice and sovereignty.

Day 8 of 40 Days

Read Daily Devotional It’s amazing to see how the angel of the Lord addresses Gideon when he is secretly threshing wheat in a wine press. He is obviously frightened of the Midianites and working under the radar and yet is called a “mighty man of valor”. Wow! How differently God sees us from how we […]

Day 7 of 40 Days

Read Daily Devotional Joshua followed Moses closely throughout his leadership of Israel through the exodus. He waited for him regularly outside the tabernacle and beneath the mountain of God. These periods of waiting and watching must have created in him a deep honour of the God who led them all. After Moses’ death God speaks […]

Day 6 of 40 Days

Read Daily Devotional The relationship between Moses and God began on Mount Sinai where Moses watched over his sheep. What began at a burning bush continued for the next forty years and only grew in closeness. The Bible says that God talked with Moses as he would a friend. The first conversation that they had […]

Day 5 of 40 Days

Read Daily Devotional Jacob is the kind of guy who goes by many titles. Grandson of Abraham, deceiver, heel-grabber and shrewd businessman would be a few of those titles. All of that changed one night when he was all alone and had to wrestle through the night with an angel. Jacob’s tenacity had grown over […]

Day 4 of 40 Days

Read Daily Devotional God spoke with Abraham like he would a friend. When Abraham gave his nephew Lot the option to choose land for himself, God himself spoke to him reassuring him of His presence with him and reinforcing his promise of making his descendants numerous. Lot choose the seemingly fertile land of the Jordan […]

Day 3 of 40 Days

Read Daily Devotional Noah was a man who walked in habitual fellowship with God (AMP version). He was just and blameless in a time (much like today) when evil prevailed and wickedness held sway. God chose him out of a vast number of humans to be set apart, saved, and repopulate the earth after a […]

Day 2 of 40 Days

Read Daily Devotional We see the sad unravelling of Adam and Eve’s family in today’s reading where Cain kills his brother Abel in a fit of rage, jealousy and maybe insecurity. It’s interesting to read that Abel somehow knew what would please God and do accordingly while Cain chose to do what pleased him and […]
