Day 16 of 40 Days

Read Daily Devotional King David begins this psalm by singing the truth of God’s Steadfast Loving kindness and Justice. He acknowledges and believes that God is the Source of love and justice, and this truth motivated him to live in a right relationship with God and conduct his life upholding integrity. The Hebrew word for […]

Don’t Be Afraid | Courage Through Christ

Storms in life can stir up fear, anxiety, and uncertainty. The disciples experienced this firsthand while struggling on the water in the dark. Yet in their moment of fear, Jesus came to them with a simple but powerful message: “Take courage… don’t be afraid.”

This week we’ll look at how Jesus helps us face fear with faith:
• Why obedience to Christ brings security
• How prayer reminds us we’re not alone
• Why our minds often jump to the worst conclusions
• How Christ’s presence replaces fear with courage

No matter what storm you’re facing, Christ is greater than the waves. He is with us even in the darkest moments.

Day 15 of 40 Days

Read Daily Devotional Remember when you were just a little kid, and your parents felt like giants, almost like superheroes? In your small world, they were invincible, capable of anything. Now, looking at my 4-year-old son, I get the feeling he sees me in the same way (although I know it won’t last forever). He […]

Day 14 of 40 Days

Read Daily Devotional Most of my tears and relaxation come from my bed. I like my smooth bedsheet, firm pillows, and silky blanket. My bed is the best, and I can’t sleep anywhere else. I love cuddling my pillow and talking to God on my bed, especially when I’m upset and anxious. To me, my […]

Day 13 of 40 Days

Read Daily Devotional With nails piercing through His wrists and ankles, His body languishing on the Cross, time moved painfully slowly. Six hours passed. As His lungs began to collapse, Jesus uttered His Last Words, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Psalm 22:1, Mark 15:34) In His Agony, Jesus remembered the psalmist’s […]

Day 12 of 40 Days

Read Daily Devotional On first reading, this psalm of David could refer to the time in 2 Samuel 15-16 when Absalom, his son, conspired against him and David was ‘forced’ to flee in disgrace. The majority of the psalm describes the many curses that David’s enemies were calling down upon him. David turns to God, […]

Day 11 of 40 Days

Read Daily Devotional Imagine a time when you feel like you are languishing. Feeling a pain that is both chronic and acute, weakening you as each day goes by. Maybe it is an ongoing, long-term physical pain, or a mental or spiritual one. Slowly but surely, bitterness and resentment start to creep into your life. […]

Day 10 of 40 Days

Read Daily Devotional Beautiful are the psalms that transcend time as they speak to our situation and especially our soul. “Vindicate me.” When or has there ever been a time we needed this from God? I was reminded of Revelation 12:10, “And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, ‘Now the salvation and the […]

Day 9 of 40 Days

Read Daily Devotional Have you ever been in a pit, like what David was describing in the beginning of Psalm 28? Maybe you are in a pit right now. Quite often, when we hit a crisis in our life, we strive frantically to climb out of the pit all by ourselves. The truth is, imagine […]

Storms of Life – Mark 4:35–41

We’re in Mark 4:35–41, where the disciples face a furious storm and discover something unforgettable about Jesus. Sometimes obedience still leads us into rough waters, but we are never alone in the boat. In the middle of fear, questions, and waves that feel overwhelming, Jesus speaks with authority, bringing calm and calling His people to deeper faith.
