Lunch Devo: Act 17:27-28(a)

“Though He is not far from each of us.” This is the truth of the matter, God is near to everyone and yet so few seek Him out for their help in this world. How is it that the Almighty, Powerful, God of the universe that has provided the solution for any and all people […]

Lunch Devo: Philippians 2:3-4

Lunch Devo: Today’s encouragement is to live unselfishly by being considerate of others. The command is to do nothing from selfish ambition, and to consider others more significant than ourselves! I know that this is a very tall order, right? How much of our lives are given to caring for our needs; to eat right, […]

Lunch Devo: 1 Timothy 4:7

Lunch Devo: It is Friday the 13th, and I am challenged through the Scriptures not to get caught up in myths and superstitions, but to be godly in my actions and thoughts. It says here in 1 Timothy 4:7 to reject myths, so I wonder if we are applying this to our lives right now […]

Lunch Devo: Ps 139:23

Lunch Devo: The truth of the matter is, we all have anxious thoughts at one time or another! We all need to be tested in our thinking and our passions (what consumes our attention and time) from time to time to make sure that we are not operating outside of the faith. I love how […]

Lunch Devo: Romans 8:16

Lunch Devo: Happy Son and Daughter Day! Honestly, I never even knew there was such a thing, but since there is and today is that day we will choose to celebrate the fact that those who have accepted Christ as Savior are now adopted into God’s family and called His sons and daughters! Whew-hoo! We […]

Lunch Devo: 1 Corinthians 15:58

Lunch Devo: “..give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord..” What a great verse to remind us of our mission in life, our need to be stable and constant in faith, and the promise that what we do matters in the scope of all eternity! Stand firm! We are bombarded with assaults all day […]

Lunch Devo: Matthew 15:13

Lunch Devo: Did you realize that your Heavenly Father has planted eternal life, hope, salvation, love, holiness, joy, faith, righteousness, etc. in you? Did you also realize that Jesus wants to pull out anything that is in you not planted there by the Father? Many of us walk through this life operating out of lies, […]

Standing in the Love of God and Trusting that He will Never Abandon Us

Unfortunately, we live in a culture of abandonment. Way too many people are experiencing hurt and mistrust from parents who abandoned and mistreated them. This explains why so many have a hard time relying upon the Lord to be there through the hard times with them. I don’t know what pain you have had to endure throughout your life from being rejected, abandoned, and/or mistreated by someone you looked to and trusted, but I want you to know that the God of the Bible – the One true God – WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR ABANDON YOU (see Heb 13:5, John 14:8, Deut 31:6,8, Isa 43:2,5(a))! He will never run when things get hard. He will never reject your calls for help! He is always faithful to those who look to Him for deliverance. Do not let your experience with fallen humanity define your experience with a perfect Father! He loves you. No, wait, listen…..GOD LOVES YOU CHILD! Stand firm in that love, please!
