“My Redeemer Lives” by Hillsong
Devotional thought
Ps 18:46 is one of my favorite verses because I love the way it starts, “The Lord Lives!”. This is such a powerful declaration of faith, and it has so much implications for us who believe in the message of this statement!
What do we have to fear if our Savior lives?
- Death? No, because our Redeemer overcame the power of death and freed us from its power forever!
- The penalty of our sin? No, because the work of Jesus on the Cross removed the penalty and power of sin in our life forever!
- The fear of eternal judgement? No, because there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. We who believe in the living Redeemer have moved from judgement to life! Hallelujah.
Do you see why believing in the Redeemer that lives is so important? I hope and pray that you have a strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that you are encouraged to remember today that your Redeemer truly does live. And if He lives, then you can live too!
Live a life that is free of the penalty and power, the shame and pain, the fear and uncertainty of an eternal future. Our Redeemer lives! He provides forgiveness, healing, and assurance for those who believe in His Name. We have eternal life and hope in His matchless Name! Believe Church! Believe!
Prayer
My Redeemer, Lord Jesus, I praise You for Your complete work of forgiveness! Thank You for redeeming my life from the pit I was trapped in. I love You and give You my worship forever Lord. Help me to believe in Your Name and to trust You always! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
