From Healing to Helping: Why God Restores Us

God still works in the ordinary moments of life—our homes, our families, and our struggles. In this message from Mark 1, Pastor Bill McMinn teaches how Jesus’ healing of Peter’s mother-in-law reminds us that we are healed to serve. Whether it’s in the quiet of our home or the noise of community need, God restores us so we can bless others. Ministry doesn’t start on stage—it starts at home.
Jesus Taught With Authority. Do We Listen?

Jesus didn’t just quote the Law—He deepened it. He called people beyond surface obedience into a heart-level transformation. Pastor Bill reminds us that Christ speaks with real authority, and His words still confront our thoughts, motives, and everyday lives.

Communion & Baptism – A Call to Faith

This week on Soaring Faith, we reflect on the significance of Communion and the transformative power of baptism. Communion calls us to self-examination, a reminder to remove idols and align our hearts with Christ. Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change—a declaration of faith and new life in Jesus.
As Paul instructs in 1 Corinthians, we cannot drink from the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. We are called to fully commit. Likewise, the story of the Philippian jailer in Acts 16 shows us the urgency of faith. When God shakes the foundations, will we recognize His call?
Join us as we explore the power of these sacred acts and the importance of standing firm in our faith. Are you fully surrendered to Christ?
Mustard Seeds –

This week, we explore two of Jesus’ parables: the mustard seed and the yeast. These stories, though simple, illustrate profound truths about the Kingdom of God. Both the mustard seed and yeast start small, yet their impact is transformative, growing into something far greater than their beginnings.
Jesus describes the Kingdom as something that begins humbly, like a mustard seed planted in a field, or yeast worked into dough. Over time, these small, unassuming actions produce growth and permeate their surroundings, much like the Gospel transforms lives and communities.
The parables remind us to trust in the power of small acts of faith. A kind word, a prayer, or sharing the Gospel may seem minor but can lead to extraordinary change. They also challenge us to consider the influence we bring into the world: Are we planting seeds of faith and working the yeast of the Gospel into every area of our lives?
As we reflect on this message, let’s be encouraged by the power of God’s truth to grow and transform. Small beginnings can have eternal impact when rooted in His Kingdom. Let’s remain confident, persistent, and intentional in being a good influence for Jesus.
