Devotional thought
Our wonderful God provided each of us a lasting sense of love, peace, and hope in the Name of Jesus Christ! We cannot find hope in any substitute. Actually, if we seek to find hope in anything other than our Great God it will lead to hopelessness in our lives.
It is our God that broke the chains of sin in our lives. My King came and rescued me! I sing my praises to the God who provided a complete solution to my helpless situation! His love fills my heart now. In Him I find my refuge, and joy is the result of looking to Him for all of these things!
This is why we join together with the multitudes in Heaven and declare that He is worthy of all of the honor and praise we give Him (and so much more)! He is holy, glorious, and full of compassion for us. He loves you and me! This is why we praise, this is why we sing! He is worthy!!
I appreciate the opening verse to our song of the day that says, “hope fills my soul” and “peace floods my heart” at the love that God has shown and the knowledge of His goodness toward us. Is that what the understanding of God’s love and goodness does to you? Does it inspire a response of praise? Do you sense an undeniable feeling of hope and peace? Does it drive you to your knees in reverence?
Go to Him now and seek His glorious face! You will never be disappointed, because hope does not disappoint (according to Romans 5:5), and hope is found in our Glorious Savior!
Prayer
Glorious Father, I praise You for the love and joy I have found in You! You are so worthy of my praises Lord. I seek You now to fill me with Your Spirit and to remind me of the hope I have in You. Thank You God for delivering me and showing me love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
