CHALLENGE: Live Grateful

A.BE THANKFUL FOR BENEFITS

Vv1-2 – Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

B.BE THANKFUL THAT GOD TURNS YOUR LIFE AROUND

Vv3-4 – who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,,

1.God Turns Us Around with Forgiveness
2.God Pulls You Out of the Pit
3.God Satisfies and Strengthens

V5 – who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

And God does provide for our needs. Psalm 111:5 – He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever.

Acts 14:17- Yet he has not left himself without testimony:.” I love this passage. God, in his common grace, even blesses pagans by giving them food. And he fills their hearts with joy.

Ecclesiastes 5:18 – This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot. 19 Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God..

Isaiah 40:30-31 – Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

C. BE THANKFUL THAT GOD IS GRACIOUS

1.Be Gracious in Your Words and Actions.

Vv6-7 – The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.7 He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:

2. Be Gracious in Love (v8)

V8 – The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.

3. Be Gracious By Treating Others Better Than They Deserve

Vv9-10 – He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.

4.Be Gracious by Forgiving

Vv11-12 – For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;.

5.Be Obedient

v18 – with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.
