Worship Minute: I am looking at Psalm 32 and considering how confession plays into our worship. The chapter starts by saying, “How blessed is the one whose rebellious acts are forgiven, whose sin is pardoned!” We read in 1 John 1:9 that if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So, confession is the method by which we can access forgiveness, and Christ is the one in which we must go through to receive that forgiveness! Continuing in Psalm, it says that keeping silent and distant from God depletes us of our energy and makes us groan all day long (paraphrased), but when we confess our sins He forgives and we get relief. Confession is a huge part of a worshipful lifestyle, so don’t hold anything back, surrender it all to Christ who knows it already anyways. “Rejoice in the Lord and be happy, you who are godly! Shout for joy, all you who are morally upright!” Ps. 32:11. Have a blessed and worshipful week! ~ Mark
